Shane's P.O.V:

We reached the door, and Juliet reached in her pocket for her keys, after she took them out she turned to me and siletly hugged me. I hugged back, she felt so fragile, like if I held her too hard she would crack into a million pieces. I hugged her tighter and let go. She stuck the keys into the door, and I don't why it was like a fucking silent movie, but none of us said a word. She then turned aaround and I thought she was going to break the silence, but instead she leaned in close. Real close. And I know I should have backed away. But she didn't exactly give me any time. She then kissed me. Gently. On the lips. For a full 8 seconds. It was a long kiss. An unexpected kiss. A perfect kiss. And... yet, I feel like it wasn't supposed to happen, but at the same time like it was supposed to happen. After the kiss she turned and unlocked her door. Stepped in her apartment. And closed the door. I slumped against the closed door, taking in what had just happened.

Juliet's P.O.V:

It was eight seconds of pure fantasy. I didn't even realise what was happeneing. I wasn't drunk. Or high. Well, I was drunk and high off laughs and lol moments. I didn't know what was happening when I kissed him. I just did. No logic. Just... lust? desire? want? Realisation that I might actually like Shane? I just walked in straight to my bed where I crashed on it and passed out. I passed out for fifteen minutes. Then I woke up suddenly from a weird dream.

It was a replay of tonight, starting from the cinema and fast forwoarding to outside my door. Where I leaned in... And... And... KISSED SHANE. It felt good? I don't kiss a lot of people, but it was full and sweet and soft. No pressure. Just. A kiss. I woke up suddenly reaching for my phone to check the time. 2:15am. Ugh. I tried to go back to sleep. But I couldn't. The dream bothered me. The truth was... I liked it. I liked the kiss. And I couldn't NOT react to my dream. And that's when it hit me like a tonne of bricks. It wasn't a dream. It was a replay of reality. That kiss wasn't a random dream. It was real. It was a real kiss between me and Shane. I had kissed Shane. My best friend for LIFE. Shane. And... He had kissed back. Did he like me? Want me? I flopped back onto my pillow contemplating it all when I thought. I should call Shane. We should talk about this. OUT LOUD. So I did just that. I picked up my phone and clicked onto CONTACTS and was about to call 'SHANEY' when my phone rang. I didn't bother to check who it was. I just picked up. "Hello?" I asked.
"Hi, uh, did I wake you up?" A guys voice on the other line.
"No..." I said extending the o sound.
" Oh... Well I kinda wanted to..." His voice sounded. I knew who this was. It was Shane.
" Talk?" I offered.
" Yeah... Because we..."
" Kissed?"
"Yeah. And it was-"
"Weird?"
" You gotta stop doing that. Anyways, I wanted to know why you kissed me..."
" I... I don't know, it was a spur of the moment thing and that's what I've been thinking about all this time. Why? But I don't know why and I just think it's weird of me to have done it and I'm sorry Shane I really am I mean you must think I'm nuts or something and-"
" Woah, calm the fuck down at least. It's okay, I'm not mad or anything. I'm just... surprised..."
" Me too" I whispered.
" Was it good at least?"
I laughed, that one comment had totally broken the awkwardness. "It was very nice" I said and he chuckled back. "Hey Shane?"
"Yeah?"
"Um...I, uh...."
"Sofia?"
"Did you like it?" I asked nervously, unsure of what the answer would be.
He was silent for a couple of seconds, which didn't help the nervous pounding of my heart. "Yes."
"Do you like me?"
"What? Of course I like you, you're my best friend silly"
"No... I mean do you 'like me'" I said, putting emphasis on the last two words.
"Oh..." Oh no, that didn't sound good "Do you 'like me'?"
"I asked first!" I argued.
"Umm... I'll be at your house in five." He escaped. But he's coming here. What could that even mean?
